Luna County Treasurer, NM

Luna County abuts the Mexican Border and was formed in 1901. It was named for Solomon Luna, a local politician. In 1916 Pancho Villa led several hundred soldiers into the village of Columbus. The attack prompted the US Army’s Mexican Expedition to capture Villa, but he was never located. Luna County has joined the Triadic Mass Pay System to centralize collections of Escrow taxes and stop the refunds that occur each tax season.
