Taos County Treasurer, NM

One of the original nine counties in the New Mexico Territory, Taos was founded in 1852. The name is derived from the name of the indigenous Pueblo people, Tiwa. The county has the highest mean elevation of any US county outside of Colorado. The highest natural point in New Mexico is the summit of Wheeler Peak. Taos County has joined the Triadic Mass Pay System to automate their payments form escrow companies and stop refunds.
